I LOVE BUFFETS! My family and I love this place! We have been delighted with the food and have never had any complaints. Where else can you enjoy many fresh signature Chinese dishes as well as Japanese specialties all under one roof in Fleming Island? And for under $10 either lunch or dinner? Exactly nowhere---besides here. They cook well according to my preferred taste and I especially love their General Tso's Chicken with the Stir Fried Green Beans. The Coconut Shrimp is exceptional and so is their Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. They offer an array of Lo Mein, Chow Mein, Singapore-style noodles & hot soups that are fantastic with so much flavor. The Beef & Broccoli is also one of my favorites and the seafood dishes are extraordinary! It's doubtful anyone will have trouble finding something they like.... The sushi is fresh, varied and available even during lunch. Because the food is made in small batches, it is not overcooked, mushy or stale. Each day several different dishes are added or changed so boredom doesn't set in even for the regulars. To me, the dessert bar is average but the important main courses and side dishes are well prepared and varied enough for almost all tastes. Overall, the service is above average and the friendly wait staff will quietly check your needs, but not overdo it. They also make special accommodations for small or large groups upon request. Affordable, freshly cooked and delicious food for $7.99 lunch & $9.99 dinner. You bet it's an excellent choice ! 5 STARS

Food was cold and extremely chewy. Felt like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for six hours. Half of the food trays were empty. I feel like I'm definately going to vomit when I leave. The waitress had to run next door to the grocery store to get my wife a glass of Chardonnay. There's no telling how many diapers my three year old is going to go through tonight.

I frequent this buffet every once in a while and love the service I receive. Asa somewhat regular, I find the staff very accomedating to me, and alway try to seat me in my favorite table or near it. They also allow me to watch ESPN or the NFL Channel when I am there. The food is always hot and fresh. I see the staff replace old dishes for new dishes when it is about to be out there too long or when it is about to run out. They are always aware of keeping the food in the best temperature as possible to avoid staleness, I have learned the dishes enough to know my favorites, I like just about every sushi the make. I like rice and lo mein. I like the pepper steak, I like the cheese and crab, I loke the kimchee, I like the stuffed potato, the seafood medley. Every once in a while I ventrue to other dishes. I have discipline not to get things to exceed my diet as far as spiking sugar levels. You have a great shot in keeping well as a diabetic, choosing your portion size and dishes wisely. Overall for 9.99 in evenings, and 6.99 during lunch. I highly recommend Ichiban as a buffett in the Fleming Island area if you want a great night of Asian food.

I gave this location 3 stars because of atmosphere. The selection and service deserve a 4 but the ambiance or lack of brings it down to an average of 3. Or server was great very polite friendly and attentive. The restaurant was just too cafeteria like fir my taste.

Only because I have to give it a star. The place is nice and the presentation is nice, but the food was terrible (it pains me to say that because I was genuinely looking forward to eating there). Will never go again, even if you paid me :(

food is good, service is good. Prices are high for buffet in my opinion, but every place is really. I don't quite understand the bad reviews except the one about sushi. Yeah, thats not the greatest.

Terrible food selection HUGE lack of sushi to be a sushi bar not enough selections of food on the buffet. The RAW food for Hibachi was hot --- do not recommend waste of money.

Food was pretty good, service was friendly. Wasn't anything super but was ok. Personally felt it was slightly overpriced for the available selection but not too bad.

Quite possibly the most grotesque buffet and sorry excuse for Sushi I've ever seen. The stuffed mushrooms were submerged in about 3" of some sort of mystery liquid so perhaps it should've been called stuffed mushroom slop surprise. The sushi rice was dry and crusty. The tempura was everything but traditional. 20 plates of Sushi to choose from with only three of them having anything on them...buffet huh? When this customer confronted the staff and management of the poor conditions it was responded with a shrug and the Sushi Chef (whom has no business calling himself A. a Chef & B. a Sushi Chef) laughed and went "on break". The hospitality service is a tough business but, when the food is subpar and the staff is cold and condescending they will struggle. Thumbs down No star "earned".

Decided to take my work crew here for a quick lunch as they were close by. I was really hoping with having a re-opening that the place would be better than before. The hibachi is always a safe bet because the food is cooked to order.. However!!! The temps of the food were not up to code, no doubt in my mind.. Even the buffet items were cold.. I don't see this place lasting any longer than the last place did.. What a shame. You will get better food on the island ordering from Hop Shing or Sushiya. Never again..

Found out about this place in the local Mint magazine. Sounded interesting, so we thought we'd visit someday. Well yesterday was the first and last visit for the family and I. The food for the most part was average at best. Their fried chicken wings to quote Mr. Wilson from Dennis the Menace, "Tastes funny." My wife absolutely HATED the food. She and my oldest son, felt the salmon was bland. They don't have much of a salad selection. The chicken sticks were really good as was the General Tso's chicken. (Thank God they didn't screw that up!) The sushi selection was also average at best. It was really disappointing to drive from Oakleaf to Fleming Island for food teetering between average and below average. I don't think we'll be coming back again. To quote Gordon Ramsey on MasterChef, "Damn, such a shame", and this place recently opened too. Not a good first impression. If the reviews in the future get better, and I mean Waaaaaay better, then maybe we'll consider driving down here again. Right now, I think we might have better luck at Ramirez 1 star Cuban, " make sure you bring a flashlight because it's so damn dark" restaurant!!! One other thing I forgot to mention is the waiter who was cleaning our table was NOT a people person. Every time he cleared away the dishes for us, I said thank you. I could barely hear his response if he made one at all! I got the impression he wasn't happy to see us. Or if he was having some personal problem, not to sounds crass and insensitive, but he needs to leave that either at home or outside the restaurant. He needs to realize that he along with every other employee there are the face of that business to the general public. Mediocre food might be easier to forgive if the staff are friendly and courteous. But if the staff is just as mediocre or worse than the food, you will lose business. It's that simple. I hope they see this and make the necessary changes. Oh well, time will tell how responsive they are, otherwise they're gonna have a grand CLOSING as quickly as their grand opening! My review by the way is 1 1/2 stars, not 2, just to be clear. Later,

Stopped by here for in between lunch/dinner.....Sushi is some of the finest for buffet that we have seen....soups were cold, but tasty, the rest of the food was coolish, but taste was really good....will have to try during peak hours.....

Visited a couple of times and it was OK, but I've been to better buffets. The sushi selection is pretty good as well as desserts. The rest of the entrees are a hit or miss, depending on what you get. I liked the peanut chicken and the spareribs. The hibachi is not as good as I've had at other restaurants.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
